Beautiful Friendship Impossible Card

I've taken a looong hiatus from crafting. Not really intentionally but it had been very difficult for me to fit it in. Funny how my hiatus coincides with the school year! Anyway, I had been seeing some cool pop up style cards called, "The Impossible Card," and decided to try my hand at them. Here's a link to instructions and a good video which will show you multiple sizes:
https://www.maymaymadeit.com/blogs/news/the-impossible-card-in-multiple-sizes

I used the retired Chelsea Gardens paper pack, simply because I like and hadn't had a chance to use it before. Sorry to use something retired! I also used the Thin Cuts Scallop Border and Beautiful Friendship-Cardmaking stamp and thin cuts set.

This card is great fun to design and play around with. I made an A2 (standard card) size. If I move my teapot down a little, it will fold flat and be able to fit in an A2 standard card envelope.

I'm going to link this up to the current challenge at Shopping Our Stash #357 - My Favourite Things,
since tea is my favorite drink and Chelsea Gardens is my favorite paper, even though it's not "current."

Back to School Mini Cup Gift

I've been seeing a bunch of cool crafts with these mini cups so I thought I'd try to make one. There are a variety of directions online and I decided to follow along with this one: https://dawnsstampingthoughts.net/2017/08/mini-coffee-cup-gift-card-holder-video.html

I used a slightly older stamp set (School Kids) with die cuts and the new Falling For You paper packet. I also used the Thin Cuts-Basic Tags to put the apple on.

The Goldrush cardstock with the ruler stamped on it can hold a gift card. And then the mini cup itself can be filled with all sorts of things: chocolate, jelly beans, a Keurig cup, tea bags, etc.

The video I linked has the info for the cups, but here it is again.
I got the 4 oz. cups here: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/choice-4-oz-white-poly-paper-hot-cup-pack/9994W.html
and the lids here: https://www.webstaurantstore.com/choice-4-oz-white-hot-paper-cup-travel-lid-pack/999L4W.html

Layout Share and Sneak Peek for New Catalog

If you follow my Facebook page, you will have been seeing a lot of sneak peeks for the upcoming CTMH catalog which goes live on August 1st. I thought I would include some here as well. I made the layout below with older paper but the letters, "VCPC," are made with CTMH's new Thin Cuts (die cut) Block  Alphabet! I also used their new Gold Pearls as an accent on the journaling block and on the lower right side.

I used foam tape to pop up the die cut letters, which you can see a bit better in this view.

Here are the items from the new catalog that I used on the layout.

Gold Pearls (pack of 90)
The new catalog also has Bashful Pearls (pink) and White Pearls. I like using pearls as an accent on scrapbook pages since it adds dimension without too much bulk.
Thin Cuts—Block Alphabet
This will be such a helpful tool for layout titles!

Prima Doll in the Snow

I used the, "Winter," thin cuts with the Black glitter paper and the "Snowflakes" die cuts with the Silver glitter paper on my latest pocket letter!

You're the Sweetest Card

Happy New Year!

Have you had a chance to see the new catalog? If not, click here to view the Seasonal Expressions fro Jan-April 2017!

There are a whole slew of beautiful new papers, coordinating embellishments, and stamp sets!

The Sugar Rush designs are among my favorites! I used the Paper Pack, the Thin Cuts Bundle, and the Sugar Rush Cardmaking stamp set for this quick card.

Winter Themed Cards

Here's a picture of some cards I've been working on. I'm really enjoying using the Thin Cuts. I used the Cozy Christmas Thin Cuts Bundle for the snowman card and the Snowflakes Thin Cuts for the top two cards. And, of course, I'm still playing with the CTMH Cricut Flower Market cartridge (wreath card).

Tickled Pink Flamingos

I tried to restrain myself when I looked through CTMH's Seasonal Expressions 2 . But when I looked at page 32 and saw the C1651 Tickled Pink stamp set with those cute flamingos AND that they also had coordinating thin cuts (Z3228), I just couldn't resist! Look at it!

So much fun! I started off by just die cutting a bunch of flamingos and wings with the Thin Cuts. Then I stamped!
It's a flamingo party!!!
I decided to make a simple card and here's what I came up with.
The polka dotted paper right behind the flamingos is from this month's gorgeous special Happy Times Paper Pack. The green polka dotted paper behind that is from the Zoe paper pack. I used Pixie and Smoothie stamp pads to stamp the flamingo bodies and wings. I used Memento Black for the beaks and legs. I usually don't hand draw but I saw a beautiful flamingo card online made by fellow consultant Susan Williams where she had outlined her text boxes so I decided to challenge myself and try it out. Let me know what you think!
