February 2013 Constant Campaign - Digital Delights

I'm so excited about the February Close To My Heart Special! All Studio J layouts (2 pages) will be $5! Yay! It's a savings of $1.95 per each two page layout. Simple Sympathy Card

Here's a simple sympathy card. I used my Cricut Artiste to make the roses, a Nestabilities die to make the deckled rectangle, and the Argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder. One of my favorite elements of the card is the tiny double bow. After reading this post by Allisa Chilton, I went ahead and purchased a Bow Easy and that is what I used to help me with this bow!

Hi Birdie -

I made a quick little card for the current Play Date Cafe Challenge #166, Black, White and a Splash of Emerald Green.

 

I used my Cricut Artiste cartridge to make my (Topiary) green border and to cut my word bubble. The word bubble stamp which says "hi!" also comes with the cartridge bundle and is probably my favorite from that set! I love all those little flowers surrounding the "hi!" The little bird is a sneak peek from a stamp set called Hello Blooms and the paper is also a sneak peek of the paper pack called For Always. I was intending to do some different things with this card. I was going to paper piece the bird after stamping it -- I wanted the legs to show but I was going to adhere the top of the bird stamped and cut out from plain white cardstock and the layout was going to be completely different...but I liked the bird stamped directly on the patterned word paper and I liked the less fussy look from what I intended so there you go!

Paper Doll - It's Your Birthday

I have another sneak peek for you of one of my favorite new stamp sets from the new CTMH catalog. This cute girl is from the set (D1547) Paper Doll which will be available on February 1st. She was a lot of fun to color. I am slowly adding to my marker collection. Both copics and CTMH. I have yet to get a black alcohol marker (and shades of it) though and my daughter was extremely annoyed that I did not color the paper doll's hair black, which is the color of my daughter's hair! It gives me a good excuse to buy more markers, no?

This is the first time I have ever made a Center Step card. I used a wonderful tutorial from Beccy's Place. She has great tutorials for all sorts of differently folded cards here and is working on putting up more.

A Cup of Good Cheer

This week's Heart 2 Heart Challenge is Hot Cocoa. I took the theme literally and came up with a Hot Cocoa holder! I used my Cricut Artiste cartridge to make a library pocket (shift, card, key U). If you use "Fit To Page," the size will show up as 6" so I made a liner for it sized at 5-3/4" using the same shape. My liner sheet is another sneak peek from my favorite new paper pack, Chantilly (available on 2/1/13). The frame is a sneak peek from a new stamp set called Frame Flair.

The Best Day - Studio J Layout

It's been a long time since I posted a Studio J layout so I thought I'd share. I used one of the new layouts in the Express Collection in Studio J. It was super quick and I love how it came out. Except it looks like I don't know how to spell gorgeous! That's what happens when I rush and don't use spell check!

I Heart You

I used Clean and Simple's Sketch #223 to make this card. I also used the stamp set and Silver Glitter Paper from the current Constant Campaign, Whooo's Your Valentine. In case you're interested, you might want to purchase sooner rather than later as the supply for it was down to 39% the last time I checked! I am also giving you a sneak peek at Chantilly, one of the new papers that will be available with our new catalog starting on February 1st. The pink patterned paper is the one from Chantilly. Isn't it yummy?
